Our college celebrated the vibrant festival of Pongal with much enthusiasm and joy. The event was filled with a series of fun and engaging competitions, including Rangoli, Making Pongal, Pot Breaking (Uri Adi), and several fun games that brought out the festive spirit in everyone.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ms. N. Sowmya Narayani, a retired Music Teacher from AEES School, Kalpakkam, and an Entrepreneur at Fresh Millers, Anupuram. In her speech, Ms. Sowmya Narayani shared her insights on the significance of Pongal as a celebration of harvest, unity, and tradition.
Students participated enthusiastically in the various events, with the Rangoli competition showcasing beautiful designs, while the Making Pongal event saw students preparing the traditional dish with great enthusiasm. The Uri Adi (Pot Breaking) event added a dose of fun and excitement, with participants aiming to break the clay pot blindfolded, a tradition that brought out laughter and cheer among the crowd.
The celebration ended on a high note, fostering a sense of community and joy as students bonded over games and festivities. The event was a perfect way to honor the cultural significance of Pongal while embracing the spirit of fun and togetherness.
