Women Rising: A Valedictory Ceremony for 30+ Women Entrepreneurs
The Women Empowerment Cell (WEC), led by Dr. M. Chitra Manogari, organized a free Aari Work training program for more than 30 women students of our college. This initiative was part of InsPIRE: Enhancing Employability Through Skill Training by Aspire For Her, supported by the Infosys Foundation. The training, conducted by Mrs. Shobana, provided students with valuable skills in Aari work, a traditional and intricate embroidery technique, empowering them with a unique skill set for future career opportunities.
On 8th March 2025, a Valedictory Ceremony was held to honor the successful completion of the training program. The ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including Dr. Antony Jerald Anand, Founder of Minds Trust and the Women Entrepreneur Consortium; Mr. Parameshwaran, Mentor; Mrs. Faridha Ilangovan, WEC President; Mrs. Priya Rajarathinam, WEC Treasurer; and Mrs. S. Dhanapriya, WEC Secretary.
During the ceremony, students were presented with Course Completion Certificates and MSME Certificates, recognizing their achievements and newfound skills. Dr. Antony Jerald Anand also assured the students that Minds Trust would provide continued support, helping them secure loans or job opportunities to further their careers.
This initiative is a testament to the college’s commitment to empowering women and enhancing their employability through skill development, offering them tools to become independent and successful in their chosen fields.
