The NSS Unit of Guru Shree Shantivijai Jain Arts & Science College (Co-Ed), Nallur, organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Rally on 25 August 2026 (Tuesday) from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Thirukazhukundram.
The rally was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students and the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a healthy, responsible and drug-free society. The programme emphasized the importance of making positive choices and encouraging young people to stay away from drugs and other harmful substances.
Students actively participated in the rally, carrying awareness banners and placards and spreading meaningful messages such as “Say No to Drugs” and “Choose Life, Not Drugs.” Through their enthusiastic participation, the students conveyed the message that a drug-free lifestyle contributes to better health, a positive mindset, a bright future, happy families and a peaceful society.
The rally served as an effective platform for sensitizing the community to the dangers of substance abuse and highlighting the collective responsibility of students, educational institutions and society in preventing drug addiction.
The programme was organized by the NSS Unit of Guru Shree Shantivijai Jain Arts & Science College (Co-Ed), Nallur, under the guidance of Dr. K. Archunan, Principal, and coordinated by Mr. S. Haridass, NSS Programme Officer, Department of Mathematics.
The college appreciates the active participation and commitment of all students, faculty members and NSS volunteers who contributed to making the Anti-Drug Awareness Rally a meaningful and successful initiative.
